Political commentator Roland Martin responded to WSB radio host Erick Erickson, who stated that he doesn't really believe democracy is under attack, as some might proclaim.
Ahead of the 2022 midterm elections, Erick pointed out how much the Democratic Party has spent against candidates claiming to threaten the country's democracy.
"I don't actually think our democracy is very threatened," Erickson said on Twitter. "I think Democrat leaders don't really believe it either, or they wouldn't have spent $46 million promoting in GOP primaries the very candidates they claim are a threat to democracy."
The initial tweet from Erickson generated a reaction from Martin, who stated that the radio host is "blinded."
"That's because you are blinded by @GOP power, @EWErickson," Martin responded on Twitter. "Just own it."
As the midterm elections are nearing next week, these conversations will be had by people on both sides of the political and media spectrum, especially once the results are made official.
