Chris Cuomo has been at NewsNation for less than a month, and a report from the New York Post reveals that the host is urging that the network bosses move his new show to a different time slot.
According to the news media outlet's information, Cuomo wants a change in time to improve his viewership, which The Post says isn't off to a good start.
Sources told The Post that Cuomo recently met with Michael Corn — NewsNation's president — about changing time places with talk show host Dan Abrams, who has the 9 p.m. slot on weeknights.
"Cuomo is getting nasty about the ratings and he's starting to blame everyone but himself," an insider said. "He's blaming the network, staff that he personally hired, his lead-in, the promo department and even the press department!"
"Cuomo" saw 147,000 viewers on its debut, and since then, ratings have fallen, with the week of Oct. 17 averaging 119,000 nightly viewers.
"Chris was going around screaming that Newsmax is beating him," the source said. "He's a Cuomo. He doesn't blame himself. His entire life, he's been told he's special. No one is talking about his show."
