Over the last couple of months, "Meet The Press" and its host Chuck Todd has been under the spotlight for various reasons, and now former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann is the latest to criticize him.
Olberman responded to a tweet from the "Meet the Press" Twitter account that stated, "FIRST READ: For November's losing party, a reckoning awaits," leading to the podcaster taking a shot at Todd.
"The inability or refusal of @chucktodd and the Bothsidesists he works with to comprehend and emphasize the life and death implications of the election is why this nightmare has unfolded," Olbermann said on Twitter Friday.
"@NBCNews and the others have failed this country in every imaginable way."
In late August, a report surfaced that NBC News was considering Todd with Kristen Welker. The NBC White House correspondent is expected to take on more hosting duties as the midterm elections approach.
This year, "Meet the Press" is reportedly down 21 percent in total viewership and 24 percent in the key advertising demographic compared to 2021.
