The Big Ten Conference continues to work on securing a massive TV rights deal, and the hope is to have everything sorted out by Memorial Day. Conference commissioner Kevin Warren told CBS Sports a memorandum of understanding is anticipated to be in place by the end of May. The deal is believed to be worth $1 billion.
FOX Sports will continue to be the conference's main network home for football games, but the Big Ten is in talks with other networks like ESPN and Turner Sports to add to the deal. FOX has been advising the conference on negotiations with other networks.
CBS, Apple and Amazon have also been connected to talks involving the conference. CBS will no longer be carrying SEC football after the 2023 season, so the network is obviously working on trying to find a suitable replacement for its Saturday afternoon window.
