Cable news veteran Greta Van Susteren, who has had tenures at CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC, is close to having a new home. According to Mediaite, Susteren is in discussions to join Newsmax.
Next week, Susteren is expected to serve as the moderator for Newsmax during the Republican Senate primary debate in Pennsylvania. However, there's no further information about whether she'll host her own show remains to be seen.
"As a matter of policy, we don't provide comment on future talent plans." Susteren did not respond to requests for comment," A spokesman for Newsmax stated.
"Susteren has appeared on the conservative network frequently in recent weeks. Earlier this month, she delivered a report for Newsmax from a field hospital in Ukraine with evangelical pastor Franklin Graham, though she was introduced on-air only as an "award-winning journalist."
The veteran anchor spent 14 years at Fox News, anchoring "On the Record," which saw good ratings in the primetime slot. However, in 2016, she departed the network after a bitter dispute over her contract right before the presidential election.
If Susteren moves to Newsmax, she'll join fellow former Fox News colleagues Eric Bolling, who serves as the anchor for "The Balance" at 4 p.m., and Robert Schmitt, who has a 10 p.m. program.
