NBC's Dateline series is also nominated in three categories.  The event was created by CrimeCon, and described as a weekend event experience for "true crime fans, creators, and professionals."  Abrams has been a pioneer of sorts in the crime content industry, founding the Law & Crime Network, a legal news website that live streams significant court trials as part of its coverage. The Black and Missing Foundation will reportedly receive the first-ever Crimefighter Award for its work in bringing public awareness to missing people of color, whose cases are often underreported. In addition, CrimeCon will donate money to the foundation.
