Lenovo has announced its first ThinkPad device powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, the Lenovo ThinkPad X13s, featuring a slim, fan-less design, 5G, and Windows 11 Pro.

The ThinkPad X13s was developed in collaboration with Qualcomm and Microsoft to make sure that apps such as Microsoft 365, Zoom, Sophos, and many more, work properly. It also has improved x64 emulation in Windows 11 to offer a better experience for legacy applications.

It has a 13.3-inch 16:10 display, with touch or Eyesafe low blue light options, WiFi 6E, 5G support, integrated communications bar with a 5MP camera with AI-based auto framing plus Infrared (IR) camera option and standard triple-array microphones for background noise suppression, ThinkShield end-to-end security platform, and a battery that can last up to 28 hours.

Furthermore, the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 that is running under the hood introduces a Computer Vision processor that allows smarter human presence detection for more convenient user authentication, as well as added security, privacy, and power-saving by automatically turning off or dimming the display when the user looks away.

ThinkPad X13s will be available from May 2022 starting at EUR 1,399.
