Fox News correspondent Jennifer Griffin has become a voice of reason for viewers tuning in to get a factual account of the war in Europe between Russia and Ukraine.
The conflict between the neighboring countries broke out last Thursday when Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Griffin appeared with Howard Kurtz on "Media Buzz" Sunday to discuss her role at the network and the subsequent coverage that Fox News has provided over the last several days.
Griffin discussed how the network's coverage leading up the conflict was made easier by the carefully sourced information she was getting and sharing.
"It's really an interesting time to be a reporter in terms of having that level of detail and intelligence shared with us," Griffin said.
Griffin also reacted to a Washington Post story titled "Jennifer Griffin keeps fact-checking her Fox News colleagues on Ukraine."
"I cover the news. I've been part of the news division since those beginning days," Griffin added.
"I'm here to fact-check facts because I report on facts. And my job is to try and figure out the truth as best as I know it. I share those facts internally so that our network can be more accurate. That's what I've always done. There's nothing different than what I've been doing for the last 26 years working for Fox."
