The head of technology and operations for Cumulus Media has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer, the company said in a release.

Conrad Trautmann drew rave reviews from upper-level management recently for his leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic and other severe weather-related events.

Trautmann joined Westwood One in 2000 as EVP, Technology, and was promoted in February 2016 to SVP, Technology & Operations for Cumulus Media.

"He has also been critical to broadening and advancing the technology that drives our growth platforms in digital and podcasting," said CEO Mary Berner. "This promotion recognizes the vital role that he continues to play in our success."

Trautmann will report directly to Berrner. He also serves on the National Association of Broadcasters Radio Technology Committee.

"Conrad's contributions to the company over the past 21 years are countless," Berner added.
