Donna Brazile, the former Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman, is leaving her position with Fox News after two years and joining ABC News as a contributor.

Brazile confirmed the news of her departure from Fox News and arrival at ABC News to The Daily Beast. "When my contract expired, they offered me an additional 2-4 years," Brazile said.

Despite confirming the news over the last few days, Brazile wasted little time appearing on an ABC News program as she made an appearance on the network's Sunday news show "This Week."

Many were surprised when Brazile decided to leave CNN and join Fox News in 2019. However, she went to the network with a goal in mind.

"There's an audience on FOX News that doesn't hear enough from Democrats," Brazil said. "We have to engage that audience and show Americans of every stripe what we stand for rather than retreat into our 'safe spaces' where we simply agree with each other. For there is no safety in self-limiting numbers."

Whether she made a difference regarding the Democratic Party during her two-year stint on the audience that watches Fox News remains to be seen.
