Yesterday's post showed you some buds and two flower heads of Liatris aspera. On another of those flower heads I lucked out in finding a sachem (Atalopedes campestris), apparently female, that wasn't skittish about getting its portrait made. It probably should have been skittish about the crab spider at the base of the Liatris flower head.
