Twitter is now requiring users to either log in to their account or sign up for those who don't have a Twitter account yet in order to simply view tweets.
Previously, anyone could view a Tweet without the need for an account or without the need to log in.
It is unclear whether or not it was intentional nor if this will be the norm moving forward as Elon Musk had Tweeted in a reply that it is currently a "Temporary emergency measure" as Twitter was getting "data pillaged so much".
Furthermore, Elon Musk tweeted that temporary reading limits will be coming to address "extreme levels of data scraping & system manipulation".
This means that verified accounts are limited to reading only 10,000 posts/day, unverified accounts to only 1,000 posts/day, and new unverified accounts to only 500 posts/day.
