Vivo has announced new additions to the S17 series, which includes the vivo S17 equipped with a Snapdragon chipset, and the S17t and S17 Pro, both equipped with MediaTek chipsets. These models join the vivo S17e that came out last week.
All three models boast curved 10-bit OLED displays with 120Hz refresh rates, and Full HD+ (2800 x 1260) resolution, and 4,600mAh batteries paired with 80W fast charging.
Their differences lie mostly in their chipsets and camera setups.
The vivo S17 is powered by the Snapdragon 778G+ chipset, while the vivo S17t is equipped with the Dimensity 8050, and the S17 Pro comes with the Dimensity 8200. All three phones have 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage. They're all 5G-enabled.
Regarding the cameras, all three have a 50MP front-facing camera with autofocus and dual soft LED flash sensors.
For the rear cameras, the vivo S17 and S17t has dual-camera setups. Featuring another 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) combined with 8-megapixel ultrawide.
While the Pro variant has a Sony IMX766V 50-megapixel main camera with a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, as well as 8-megapixel ultrawide.
Price and availability
The new vivo S17 series is currently launched for China, but only the vanilla and pro models have the pricing details as of writing. Open sales in China begins on June 8.
