Revenue for AWS grew 16% year-over-year in the first quarter, trailing Microsoft and Google. Amazon said cloud revenue trended down by 500 basis points in April, suggesting year-over-year growth of 11%. Amid a weak economy, the entire cloud computing industry is experiencing a slowdown. A few years ago, there was no question that Amazon was the dominant cloud provider.
