LGBT individuals should have the same judicial rights as everyone else in a society, especially in a constitutional democracy. Fighting to stop persecution of LGBT individuals is a duty that both moderate liberals and moderate conservatives should take seriously, not because the persecuted are LGBT but because they are human beings. Defending individual human beings is one of the core values of both moderate conservatives and moderate liberals.
Some leftwing critics who have only superficially read my blog will perhaps be surprised that I defend the judicial rights of LGBT individuals, since I'm very against wokeness, but if you look at how I define wokeness here, you will see that there is no contradiction. In short, I define woke people thus: "Any group or individual who supports that corporations or state institutions use top-down power to spread minority values in mainstream society". I'm against the hierarchical power of Big Business and Big Government, so it follows logically from this that I'm also opposed to wokeness, but I support that members of all subcultures, including LGBT, should have the same judicial rights as everyone else in a society.
Having the same judicial rights as everyone else does not mean that the LGBT lobby also has a right to use the centralized top-down power of corporations and governments to spread their own subcultural lifestyle in the mainstream culture of a society. This logic should apply to all subcultures, be they leftwing or rightwing. Members of the punk subculture for example should obviously have the same judicial rights as non-punk citizens, but corporations or state institutions are not obliged to spread this punk lifestyle in mainstream society. Nor should state institutions or corporations spread the values of rightwing minority groups. Companies and state bureaucracies should be as neutral and apolitical as humanly possible.
The woke lobby uses mainstream entertainment (movies, tv series and online games) to spread leftwing minority values globally. This is propaganda per definition, because one of the main definitions of propaganda is that one uses entertainment to spread a political message. Goebbels did that. He tried to normalize antisemitism by making movies that exposed common people to antisemitic actors on the screen. Today we see that the woke lobby tries to normalize LGBT by showing it relatively frequently in mainstream entertainment. Some online games for example start with the message: "This game has been developed by a team which is gender-diverse". It's then very clear that they have a political agenda. What if other political movements do the same? Leftwing people will claim it's propaganda if a popular movie starts with the message: "This movie was made by a team of Ron DeSantis supporters". Some critics will argue that LGBT is normal, but all propagandists will claim that their own minority values are "normal" or "natural". Propaganda is an authoritarian and manipulative method that can be used to spread any kind of political content, so if you are against propaganda, you must also be opposed to wokeness. I'm not against LGBT individuals who don't use this method. I think Glenn Greenwald and Chelsea Manning are heroes.
Woke activists and especially their supporters in corporations and state institutions have a polarizing effect on society, because when the LGBT minority today gets access to the centralized top-down power of states and corporations, then other minority groups will rise up and begin to fight in an attempt to become equally powerful. Rightwing minority groups in particular will be tempted to use violence and terrorism in order to stop the woke elite. Russia, China and other autocracies love that wokeness has a destabilizing effect on democracies. This is extremely dangerous, because new biotech in Cold War 2 has increased the risk that some evil actors will develop bioweapons that annihilate today's woke governments and corporations in the West. Since wokeness is now the ideology of the ruling elite in North America and Western Europe, it's an increased chance that enemies of this panoptical elite will use any means necessary to prevent that Western countries reach AI, drone and biotech supremacy first. The wokeness of globalist new NATO for example implies that ordinary LGBT individuals may also be targeted by evil (rightwing) actors. This increased risk of (bio)terrorism will give Western governments a reason to introduce more draconian surveillance measures. The polarizing effect of the culture war in the West has therefore a very negative impact on constitutional democracies.
I don't think that the woke elite will listen to counterarguments in any case, and that is one of several reasons why I don't try to spread my blog articles here on the Internet, because it's pointless. This blog only has 0 - 10 daily readers, and I'm happy with that since I'm a sleepy nerd who only writes about exciting and controversial topics in order to take focus away from the discomfort of narcolepsy.
I will not deny however that LGBT from a purely aesthetic viewpoint is not my cup of tea, but that is a subjective aesthetic judgement that has nothing to do with ethics and jurisprudence. The latter is always more important than aesthetics. In other words, I subjectively don't like LGBT in the same way I don't like hip hop or vulgar swearing in online games. I only react when the woke elite uses propaganda in mainstream entertainment to push their aesthetic values on me. It's authoritarian if they claim it's "bigotry" that I aesthetically don't like their lifestyle. If a person likes hip hop, he or she will obviously respect that I don't like this kind of music, because it's a matter of subjective taste. The woke elite however will accuse me of "intolerance" if I don't like their lifestyle from an aesthetic viewpoint. But I'm actually much more tolerant than they are, because I will die to defend the judicial rights of LGBT individuals even when their lifestyle is not in harmony with my subjective aesthetic taste. Live and let live. Don't push your aesthetic values on me, and I will not push my values on you. It's best to respect true diversity.
