77 WABC host Sid Rosenberg admitted Monday that he was forced to leave New York City because of safety concerns.
Rosenberg, who co-hosts "Bernie & Sid in The Mornings," was discussing New York's public safety crisis when he said that he and his family no longer felt safe living in the city.
"I did leave because we just had enough," said Rosenberg. "My kids were afraid, my wife was afraid, quite frankly, I wasn't comfortable, so we left. We aren't the first, and we won't be the last."
Rosenberg said he attended a fundraiser this weekend on the Jersey Shore for New York gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin. He said former President Donald Trump showed up and electrified the crowd.
"It was so moving and so exciting; it was President Trump at his best," Rosenberg said.
Rosenberg urged his listeners to get involved politically, stressing the importance of New York gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin winning his race against incumbent Kathy Hochul.
"This is crunch time," said Rosenberg referring to the upcoming November midterm elections. "I've been to three political events in the last few weeks because I know the importance of these upcoming elections. I want to save our city, I want to save our state with Lee Zeldin, and I want to save our country with President Trump in 2024."
Rosenberg said he is scheduled to make national television appearances with "Fox & Friend,", Jesse Watters, and Brian Kilmeade this week.
