Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Twitter are heading to court as the social media company filed a lawsuit to force him to go through with an agreement to acquire it for $54.20 a share.
However, on Sunday, the entrepreneur tweeted about the future of Twitter, and it might be a hint that Musk could be open to going through with the purchase or only offering advice on how to improve the outlet, such as wanting the platform to be like Jon Stewart's version of "The Daily Show."
"It sure is hard to find a news source that's accurate, relevant & not totally depressing!" Musk tweeted on Sunday.
"Old-school version of The Economist & Jon Stewart Daily Show / Colbert Report were great. Maybe Twitter can become that."
Musk also decided to crack jokes over the weekend that he may merge Tesla and Twitter to create a new company called "Twizzler" and took jabs at the company's management.
"Interaction with almost all Twitter accounts seem to be much lower in recent weeks & days. Accurate?" Musk tweeted to his 102.5 million followers.
A five-day trial is set to begin on Oct. 17 on whether Musk will be forced to go through with the purchase of Twitter, and perhaps he could personally make those changes to the platform himself.
