In a no holds barred type interview on CNN, comedian and passionate veteran advocate Jon Stewart dropped multiple F-bombs on the air.
Stewart was discussing the PACT Act. According to NBC News, the PACT Act would have expanded VA health care eligibility to more than 3.5 million post-9/11 combat veterans who were exposed to toxins while serving in the military.
Video posted via Mediate showed the exchange between Stewart and Jake Tapper on "The Lead."
Stewart used the words to convey a real-life conversation he had with aides on Capitol Hill.
"God bless the assistants. Because they have to cover up for the cowardice of their bosses." Said Stewart.
Stewart said he became enraged when an aide to Roger Marshall (R-KS) told him the passage of the PACT Act was hanging in the balance while lawmakers worked on "fixing the budget."
"We have to fix the budget issue?" Stewart said, "What's the budget issue, because he voted yes when that budget issue was in it the first time. What are you f*****g talking about? Seriously?" Stewart said before he noted he routinely meets veterans on oxygen tanks who need help.
"Do they understand that… there are real people who face tragic consequences for their parliamentary f--kery?" added Stewart.
