Radio Hall-of-Famer Neil Boortz and media personality Kim "The Kimmer" Peterson headlined an event hosted by "Atlanta's ONLY Conservative News and Talk Station" XTRA 106.3 FM. The 2022 Town Hall took place at the Governor's Gun Club in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Fox News contributor and retired Marine, Joey Jones, participated in the event. Jones lost both of his legs when he unknowingly triggered a hidden IED while fighting the war in Afghanistan in 2010.
Jones was joined by Kelvin King, a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Georgia. He discussed his passion for life and the hot button issue of abortion which he said is near and dear to him since he was born to a 15-year-old mother.
Last year, Dickey Broadcasting flipped XTRA 106.3 FM to news/talk. The station features local morning and afternoon programs with the biggest names in talk radio sprinkled in between.
"Atlantans deserve great options for their news and information," said David Dickey, President of Dickey Broadcasting Company, at the time of the transition.
XTRA 106.3 FM Program Director Matt Edgar told Barrett News Media that the 2022 Town Hall was a great success.
"It was an outstanding event and another reason that we are truly starting to own the conservative space in Atlanta radio," said Edgar.
