Katie Nolan is enjoying calling Major League Baseball games for Apple TV+ and embracing this new chapter of her career.
Nolan left ESPN in September of last year after four years with the network. She was asked about her time at The Worldwide Leader on a recent episode of The SI Media Podcast with Jimmy Traina.
Nolan's hosted her own show on ESPN+ called Always Late with Katie Nolan. She had some other on-camera roles while with the network, including Highly Questionable. But she said when it came down to it, ESPN just couldn't find the right fit for her.
"We were the lowest on the totem pole in that office," she said. "And so it was kind of hard to get the attention for the thing that we needed. So I would say no I don't think they knew how to use me. I wish they did, they convinced me that they did before I got there."
Katie Nolan said that the size of ESPN made it hard to sometimes know whose attention she needed to get, but added that her experience wasn't necessarily bad. She said she made wonderful connections with colleagues while in Bristol.
"I have this incredible network now of people who I respect," she said. "And that was, I would say, far and away, the best part."
