Clay Travis and Buck Sexton don't agree with everything Bill Maher has to say but when it comes to his position on free speech, the nationally syndicated duo believes Maher gets it.
Speaking about general First Amendment rights and Elon Musk's recent purchase of Twitter, Sexton said Monday Maher is consistent on the issue of free speech.
"But notice this. He's pointing out with his one, by the way, it's great stuff," said Travis. "It's really funny. Babylon Bee has great writing, great content, and needs to get back after its social media access."
Maher criticized Twitter for flagging the Babylon Bee for making fun of a company for being too sensitive.
"They will slap you down for sensitivity violations. That's the free speech role of the left today in America," added Travis.
Sexton reacted to CNN contributor David Zurawik who claimed it was dangerous that Musk purchased Twitter.
"He's going on TV to say that we are entering this dangerous period for democracy because people may be able to share their ideas more freely," Sexton said. "And remember that for those of you who are on Facebook and these other platforms too, a lot of what starts on Twitter ends up on those platforms."
