CBS News has a new creative director as the company has announced the promotion of Gabe Almanzar, who will be taking over the position.
Almanzar's responsibilities in this new role with CBS News see him oversee the graphics teams, design output, and the overall creative inspiration for the news division and its various linear and streaming programs.
In a memo obtained by TV Newser, CBS News ops, and transformation EVP Ross Dagan wrote that he's more than happy to give this position to someone from within, considering Almanzar has been with the company for their news and sports department since 2007.
"Gabe will work closely will the editorial, technical, operations and marketing teams. His focus is to deliver world-leading design to support world-class storytelling," Dagan said.
"I am delighted that we have appointed someone from within to this role after an extensive recruitment process. It's a testament to Gabe's contribution to the network across news and sports as a Graphic Artist and Supervising Art Director as part of various programs since 2007."
