Golf's first major, The Masters, saw a modest increase in viewership. CBS Sports coverage of Sunday's final round, which saw American Scottie Scheffler claim his first green jacket, averaged 10.2 million viewers on TV.
That number is up 7% from last year.
The audience for Sunday's tournament finale was the most-watched golf telecast since Tiger Woods won The Masters in 2019.
The peak audience for Sunday was 13.2 million between 6:45 and 7 p.m. EDT when Scheffler finished his last round. CBS also reported the final round was the most-streamed ever for the network and streaming service Paramount+.
