A rare Punk has been bought on Opensea for 3.2 million dollars, one of 88 Zombie Punks. Its attributes include a do-rag and shadow beard.

The sale of CryptoPunk #7756 took place on April 14th for 1050 ETH.

Rare CryptoPunks

While it's one of the collection of 10,000 CryptoPunks, according to Larva Labs only 4501 of those have three attributes, as this one does:

Do-rag – only 300 punks have this hat style
Shadow beard – only 526 punks have this
Horned rim glasses – only 535 punks have these

Combined with being a Zombie Punk, its rarity and value is high. Although the retro pixel art style isn't to everyone's taste, CryptoPunks have a cult following.

The sale of CryptoPunk #7756 isn't even one of the most expensive CryptoPunk sales, as several have sold for up to $23.7 million in the past. That record sale was CryptoPunk #5822 which is very rare with only one attribute, a bandana, and being one of only 9 rare Alien Punks.

IP rights to the CryptoPunks collection were acquired in March by market leader Yuga Labs, the creators of the Bored Ape Yacht Club and the Mutant Ape Yacht Club.

The NFT markets are booming lately as both BAYC and MAYC have set new all time high floor prices of around 125 ETH and 32 ETH.

Moonbirds NFTs reached a price floor of 33 ETH in less than a week since their minting, flipping Azuki and Doodles NFTs.

The top NFTs are outperforming crypto as an investment as Bitcoin and Ethereum are yet to make new ATHs since November 2021 – although they are holding the $40k and $3k levels so far in mid 2022.
