CBS News will have new leadership heading their audio initiatives as the company announced Steve Raizes is the new executive vice president of podcasting and audio at Paramount, effective immediately.

Along with overseeing audio initiatives for CBS News, Raizes will help define the company's podcasting process in several areas. Also, he will continue his supervision across Paramount's centralized podcasting unit.

"Steve brings the experience and relationships with streaming platforms to take our podcasting strategy to the next level," Neeraj Khemlani, president and co-head of CBS News and Stations, said. "Engaging journalism and storytelling are core to CBS News' mission and translate exceptionally well to podcasting."

Since joining the company, Raizes has risen through the executive ranks. He has helped lead the podcasting content for Paramount, working with several stakeholders across each brand in the Paramount Global portfolio. 

He had to help define the strategy, marketing, operations, and creativity needed to develop successful podcasting slates. Raizes has also been critical to multiple podcast partnerships, supervising production and ad sales agreements with companies like iHeart, PRX, Spotify, Sirius, and Wondery.
