Sky Mavis has announced that Axie Infinity: Origin alpha will be available to play via Mavis Hub on April 7.

According to the company, they have shifted the launch date by one week due to the recent security breach to give them time to reprioritize their efforts.

Origin will feature upgraded Axie art and animations, as well as the new gameplay upgrades, including sequential turns, energy resets, card changes, Eye & Ear cards, Runes / Charms, the new Rage mechanic, and more.

Sky Mavis has also released their Launch Week Schedule starting March 30, consisting of programs to prepare players for the upcoming alpha. This includes the reveal of Aqua Runes & Charms and Beast Charms, Bug Runes & Charms, Origin Preview Stream (April 2), Secret Class Runes, Bird Runes & Charms, Arena Mode Guide, Plant Runes & Charms, Starter Axie Lore, and Reptile Runes & Charms.

They will also hold an Origin Launch Contest which includes designing a custom Origin card, writing an Arco Beast Lore via Twitter, and Starter Axie Cosplay.
