Win or lose in Super Bowl LVI, don't expect Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay to step away and make the jump into broadcasting after this season.

McVay's remarks during his Friday press conference (via The Comeback) about eventually wanting to spend time with his eventual family rather than coach another 20-plus years fueled rumors that he might be planning to call it a career after the big game. That follows recent reports of McVay being an active coach whom TV networks would be interested in for an analyst position.

But just as those rumors began to gain some heat, McVay put them to rest with a text to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport.

"What he texted me back was, 'I am committed to this team and coaching,'" Rapoport said on NFL Total Access. "Yes, Sean McVay will be back for the 2022 season and beyond."

McVay is under contract through the 2023 season, as is Rams general manager Les Snead.

Rapoport added he reported that news on Saturday, wanting to make sure that rumors were stopped before this became any bigger a story than it needed to be.

"What he's simply trying to say is at some point family will become his main focus, and at that point coaching will not," he said. "But that point is not going to be any time soon."
