A lot of shows spent Monday talking about the Super Bowl and all of the pageantry that surrounds it. That includes a halftime show that many went wild for and, of course, the commercials.

While many hosts debated what commercial was funniest, Dan Bernstein told his listeners on 670 The Score in Chicago that the best commercial didn't include any laughs.

"For me, the best ad was for Google Pixel 6 using Lizzo to help tell the story of the soft racism of photographs."

Bernstein noted that there were plenty of funny commercials during Super Bowl LVI. This is the only one he said had a message that would stick with him though.

The ad features people of color sharing stories about how bad they look in photographs because of most cameras' inability to properly photograph dark skin. The stories are followed by a montage of photographs taken by a Google Pixel 6 camera set to Lizzo's "If You Love Me."

"I knew this about magazines and I knew this about magazine covers," Dan Bernstein said. "There have been articles written, whether it is Simone Biles or whoever it is, saying there is unfairness or an inability to properly photograph darker skin tones. But what they did in their 60 seconds and using Lizzo, I thought was immensely effective. That's the one that's gonna stay with me."

According to USA Today's Ad Meter, the commercial placed 20th out of 66 Super Bowl LVI commercials. The Rocket Mortgage ad starring Anna Kendrick and Barbie ranked #1.
