An extremely tiny minority of militant activists are driven to use the evil method of conventional terrorism because they intellectually and cognitively assume this tactic works despite evidence proving otherwise in roughly 95-99% of all cases.

Conventional terrorism is a problem of cognition, caused by a lack of perceiving reality properly, as a result of wishful thinking, narrow-minded dogmatism, arrogance, aggression/boldness, ideological tribalism, misguided altruism, and one-sided education within the field of politics.

Conventional terrorists are like neocons who focused mainly on info which told them torture works, or drone warriors who focused mainly on info which told them that collateral damage would not significantly backfire in the "War on Terror", or the LGBT lobby today which can't see that woke propaganda in mainstream entertainment is counterproductive and potentially extremely dangerous.

People do stupid or unrealistic things when their ideas are stupid or unrealistic, and this applies to conventional terrorists too.

Rightwing microbiologists however don't need to be unrealistic in order to believe that a manmade pandemic can work, to a large degree, either in favor of their own conservative ideology or just to destroy ultra-liberal democracies by turning them into a corporate high-tech dystopia.

The neoliberal secular globalist system is clearly a disaster. Rightwing moderates and radicals are hopeful, because they know that the woke libertine system must burn to the ground before it's possible to rebuild. However, maybe it's too late to rebuild, perhaps we are destined to become like society in the dystopian movie Elysium. But it's not unlikely that a rightwing microbiologist, somewhere on the surface of the planet, is willing to bet that a new pandemic can shake things up enough to level the playing field in favor of conservatives (or at least prevent that an ultra-liberal "protopia" is ever realized).

Bioterrorism, unlike conventional terrorism, is potentially so destructive, on a global level, that it's a strategic weapon that can actually work, depending on how you define "work", i.e. depending on your goal.

What psychological conditions are necessary for a rightwing microbiologist to become an evil bioterrorist?

1) He doesn't need to hate, but his level of empathy must be similar to a fighter pilot who is willing to bomb children in a war.

2) His empathy must be neutralized by disgust triggered when observing what libertines are doing online, and observing that LGBT is becoming part of mainstream cultures, a development which angers/upsets billions of conservatives who follow traditional branches of Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and old-school authoritarian communism.

3) He must wholeheartedly believe in cultural conservatism (unlike me who is only a 30% conservative, a 70% realist).

4) Via news, books or podcasts he must have access to data and info showing that the libertine woke AI robot panopticon + metaverse is actually an existential threat to moderate cultural conservatism.

The power of dual-use tech has grown, the surveillance state has increased, the culture war has become too polarized, and Cold War 2 has escalated, all in such a degree that the risk of bioterrorism or biological warfare has also increased significantly.

It's probably only luck if we avoid another pandemic in the 2020s. But if the risk is similar to playing Russian roulette it means that we have a 83.34% chance of avoiding a pandemic. Psychopathic woke libertine elites are neurologically fearless and irresponsible risk-takers, so they probably accept this risk. They have not learned after Covid-19. Companies like Bethesda, Bungie and DICE are instead waving a red cloth in front of a bull when exposing conservatives to LGBT propaganda in mainstream online games. It's a very risky move since gaming has such a reach now that its woke propaganda content also becomes noticed by radical conservatives. But many woke libertines are tribal dogmatists, lame provocateurs living in a bubble world, so they will probably continue to spread ultra-liberal propaganda, naively oblivious of the danger they are in. This dogmatism is so strong that they may not even listen if intelligence agencies warn them about the danger. They likely dismiss warnings as being ideologically motivated scaremongering. In short, they live in their own echo chamber where they can't be reached. The rest of us have therefore no other choice than to simply hope we are lucky enough to avoid a pandemic until an universal vaccine has been created, probably in the 2030s, though a bioterrorist or rogue state may become motivated to use bioweapons now, before a universal vaccine neutralizes them.
