Hard Knocks is breaking new ground in 2021. HBO and the NFL will present the first in-season edition of the show and the focus will be squarely on the Indianapolis Colts. The team's star running back, Jonathan Taylor, was a guest on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday and was asked what it is like to be filmed for a reality show in the middle of the season.
Taylor said he is not very standoffish with the cameras. In fact, he said that he is looking forward to seeing exactly what is cataloged.
"It's actually been really fun. Really fun being able to know I'm gonna have the opportunity in the future to go back and look at these practices and look at these meetings and be able to see everybody's thoughts week in and week out."
McAfee was curious about exactly what kind of access the camera crew would have in-season versus what we are used to seeing. Being a former Colt himself, McAfee told Jonathan Taylor that he knows the equipment and training staffs are filled with very funny people that he hopes get some attention during the series.
"I definitely think they're gonna show the training room some love," Taylor answered. "I mean, those guys take care of us each and every single day. Not even every single week. Every single day transporting and moving gear, making sure that we have cleats, gloves, any and everything that we need. So, it's a must."
The first ever in-season edition of Hard Knocks will debut on HBO and HBO Max on November 17.
