"The Russian diplomat noted that it is unclear whether Paris informed Big Tech that "from now on they are the battlegrounds, from the point of view of the Western thought which above all values freedom and pluralism," not to mention how the OSCE and human rights activists' would react to this document. "Do they [the IT giants] intend to take any measures, including those relating to moderation settings, to prevent disinformation campaigns and targeted public opinion as specifically provided for in the doctrine?" she wondered."

I tried to factcheck the statements above by doing a Google search, but found no info about it. TASS however will probably not risk what reputation it has by lying about statements made by a French defense minister.

So we now have a situation where America, Russia, China, Australia, England and France are all messing with social networks if the clowns in the IC deems it "necessary" and "for a good purpose", whatever that means.

The Internet is a bloody joke. You can't trust your screen anymore, and you can't trust your (news) apps, if you are on the radar of intelligence services and the world's best hackers working for them in addition to all the spies, informants, shills, undercover officers and social engineers in the service of these underworld agencies.

The psycho scumbags in the shady subculture of the IC actually don't mind that dissidents become paranoid when reading about the tactics used by sociopaths within the police and military. A paranoid rebel is usually a pacified rebel.

But the drawback of using the tactic of "disrupt and deny" is that no educated person believes a word of what these professional liars are saying. Nor can you basically trust what their critics are saying, because they too - me included! - can be working for the (private) intelligence/propaganda (of the enemy), like George Orwell for example. But disrupt and deny often works because relatively few people (not counting FOX viewers and Guardian readers) know the scandalous details and number of intricate unethical operations conducted by intelligence agencies. Even if many generally know you can't really trust the IC they are usually too afraid to object if these scary Machiavellians show up and claim that a dissident or "public enemy" must be ostracized.

As a hobby-zoologist I'm fascinated by these alpha predators. Furthermore, condemning them in general from the viewpoint of ethical principles don't mean that I personally condemn any particular individual in the IC. Hate the sin, not the sinner. Being a sinner myself I'm not throwing rocks in a glass house. Just using the strong normative language needed to properly describe the social fact that intelligence agencies violate inherently emotion-laden moral values.

The main tactic and basic attitude of a dissident in a panopticon of "disrupt, confuse and deny" should be to 1) sometimes act inexplicably aka security through obscurity, and 2) just ignore all online smears because more and more people are gradually taking it seriously that the Internet is in fact a cyberwar zone of lies and deep fakes.
