The Houston Astros took their fair share of lumps after the cheating scandal that coincided with the team's only World Series title was revealed after the 2019 season. Yankees and Dodgers fans were particularly vocal about wishing nothing but bad things on the Astros.

John Granato and Lance Zierline have been hosting the morning show on ESPN 97.5 and 92.5 in Houston for a long time. Wednesday morning, the duo took to the airwaves under a new name specifically to needle Yankee fans.

Donning fake New York accents, Granato and Zierline took the names The Fat Man and Grivaldi. The bit was clearly influenced by the sound of Mike & the Mad Dog.

Fats & Grivaldi took some favorite targets of Yankee fans to task. The loss to the Red Sox was the fault of Brian Cashman. It was the fault of Brett Gardner and other players that "didn't play like men who wear stripes." It was the fault of a team rule that forced Garrett Cole to cut his hair when he signed from Houston. All of the culprits were met with the same criticism: "I'm sick of his face."

Even Yankee fans have to admit that Granato and Zierline captured the sound of 90s New York sports talk radio. To do it and keep it funny for more than 14 minutes definitely deserves a tip of the hat...or a bang of the trash can if you will.
