If you're a fan of, involved with or read stories about social media, you are no doubt aware of the great Facebook outage of 2021. I'm not sure that's the official name, but it was fun to follow some of the things people were saying about Facebook on their Twitter accounts. The Editor was following a few of those, as well as looking into the tech-news stories that were guessing as to what had happened.
At one point, she read a run-on sentence of strung-together technical terms designed more to make the writer look competent than to add clarity to the situation. Her reaction to that was immediately claimed as my one-liner,
"I don't really understand what he's saying – and no, I don't want you to explain it…"
This post is part of Linda G. Hill's fun weekly series One-Liner Wednesday. If you would like to join in on the fun, you can follow this link to participate and to see the one-liners from the other participants.
We have had some cloudy days and some rainy days
We have been walking early
I like this view through the trees now that the leaves are starting to fall
Perhaps a monster from the center of the earth is hiding in there. I don't know, but she had to sniff, and sniff, and sniff
It rained – but Maddie still had to go out – drenched tithonia
I like the chains reflected in the puddles
End of the season
This bunny was out in the rain munching away.
Windblown puddle
Lots of puddles
Hi Smokey
After the storm the wind remained strong
This time, Maddie is on high alert
The walker lady (I am glad to see she's still going strong)
