WGR will remain the center of the sports universe in Buffalo. Fans that want to hear either the Bills or Sabres radio calls will be tuning to the Audacy-owned sports talker for years to come. Both teams have announced multi-year extensions, which keep their games on WGR for the foreseeable future.
"We're delighted to extend our partnerships with the Bills and Sabres to continue delivering premier gameday and supporting content," Tim Holly, Senior Vice President and Market Manager of Audacy Buffalo, said in a press release. "These partnerships will allow WGR 550 to continue to serve as the home for everything fans need to stay up to date surrounding these two iconic franchises and we look forward to entertaining and informing our listeners throughout both teams' seasons."
Bills fans will hear three pregame shows and two postgame shows surrounding the team's games on Sundays. There will also be plenty of shoulder content throughout the week with Bills Mondays and Football Fridays. Howard & Jeremy will welcome play-by-play voice of the Bills John Murphy twice a week and Bills head coach Sean McDermott each Friday morning.
In afternoon drive, Schopp & Bulldog plenty of Bills content as well. Former center Eric Wood joins that show every Monday and writer John Clayton will be on every Thursday.
As for coverage of the Sabres, WGR 550 will offer pre and postgame shows in addition to the live play-by-play. Head coach Don Granato will be on with Howard and Jeremy every Tuesday. Schopp and Bulldog will get a monthly visit from general manager Kevyn Adams.
