Many Americans are opting to cut the cord as they seemingly just don't care anymore if the Stapletons are going to opt for the mid-century modern in the city center or the cute bungalow near John's work. That does not mean the country is cutting down on their sports, rather just changing the way they take them in. ESPN Plus saw a huge wave of new subscribers, and it was announced today the streaming platform will carry more games this year than in any college football season before.

The platform will stream more than 500 college football games this fall, delivering for everyone from fans of the powerhouse SEC down to FCS schools. The ESPN Plus broadcasts begin on Thursday with 13 broadcasts, including No. 22 Coastal Carolina hosting The Citadel, as well as smaller-school matchups like Incarnate Word-Youngstown State and Point University-Mercer.

In addition to the litany of games available, three new college football-themed programs will make their debut. Eli's Places, an extension of Peyton's Places, will feature Eli Manning traveling the country to "explore what makes college football a way of life." In the same arena as the long-running Ole Miss series The Season, ESPN Plus will play host to SMU All-Access and Our Time: UCF Football providing inside looks at the programs in Highland Park and Orlando, respectively.
