On board a US military plane, more than 100 Afghans who fled the Taliban's takeover of their country arrived in Kosovo's capital. The Afghans, which included many children, arrived in Kosovo on August 29 and were the first batch to be greeted. They will be hosted in Kosovo until they are processed for resettlement in the United States.
The Taliban had been gathering a valuable resource—money—for a long time before retaking control in Afghanistan.
