Frequent visitors to this blog know that I often have a photo in the gallery of the flag flying over the memorial at Veterans Park or one of the flags I pass on the way to and from the park. Today is Memorial Day in the US, and I decided to share twenty-one of those photos, in honor of the brave men and women who have given their lives during the history of this country so that we may enjoy the freedom we set out to achieve a few hundred years ago.

One Flag – Every American

I know that this is the first major holiday of the year, and it falls at a point where pandemic restrictions are being lifted, and we might be beginning to feel like things are normal. I know that historically this weekend is considered the unofficial start of summer. That's all good, but please take some time today to think about the people who paid the ultimate price to make this all possible.
