The Dan Bongino Show is now being nationally broadcast on radio stations nationwide and simulcast on FOX Nation, as the iron-jawed truth teller Dan Bongino kicked off his debut episode on Monday.
Bongino, who's been hosting an incredibly successful podcast, now has added a new endeavor to his growing list of accomplishments.
"Folks, this is it. It's an amazing, amazing day I'm not generally the anxious or nervous type but I didn't sleep too well last night sleep too, well I slept okay, my Aura Ring gave me a decent sleep score last night, but today—probably outside of my marriage and the birth of my children, is probably the biggest day of my life. Many of you have been on this journey with me for a really, really long time—my producer, Joe, my wife, my family. Today, launches the national radio show The Dan Bongino Show right after this podcast, with your host me, shockingly named Dan Bongino and it's really an incredible feeling." Bongino spoke on Episode 1527 of his podcast, The Dan Bongino Show entitled A Big Announcement.
The universality of Dan Bongino's honesty and authenticity have made him a household name over the course of the last several years.
I became a fast fan of the great Dan Bongino as a returning guest and friend of Sean Salisbury's on his program, The Sean Salisbury Show on SportsTalk 790 in 2020. His first show appearance started off with Dan asking Sean which hits he remembered being the hardest in his football career, making the dynamic effortlessly enjoyable for the talent and listeners.
Grateful for the opportunity to follow the incredible trajectory of Dan Bongino's media career over the last year, I reached out to Sean for his hopes for Dan on as his program launched today to which he celebrates what makes Bongino so special, "He's a good friend, tough and dedicated person, great story teller. I wish him nothing but phenomenal success!"
Bongino closed his podcast leading up to his first nationally syndicated program, "There's no replacing Rush Limbaugh, it's not gonna happen. Rush was an icon, a legend, the Titan of the industry. There aren't enough adjectives to describe what Rush Limbaugh did for the movement, what Rush Limbaugh did for me personally and for the millions of people that listen to his podcast. He changed the game—he didn't change the game, let me check that, he invented the game. National conservative talk radio was invented by Rush Limbaugh. He created the whole game. I have this job because of greats like him. It is an amazing honor to take the spot previously occupied by Rush, who we lost too soon. I genuinely hope you will tune in every day just like you made this podcast part of your routine—make the radio show part of your routine as well, from 12 noon to 3 PM eastern time every single day, it would be a great honor. Check your radio stations, go to bongino.com as well, if you want to find the station near you. Thank you for everything." Bongino poignantly and emotionally shared with his podcast audience.
Bongino established an engaging incentive to tune in for his first show, in the way teasing his first interview on the program to be with President Donald Trump, saying, "I really hope you listen to my radio show later and you catch President Trump, we'll play some highlights from tomorrow on the podcast, as well. The podcast isn't going anywhere. It's my first love, it's mine, it's the one thing I own. I don't own a lot but I own this. I will not disappoint you."
"I'm gonna wrap up on this cause we do have a really really big day today, not that I'm ever going to change the podcast, but I do want to get this last story. Ladies and gentlemen, any sane person in our United States government if they realized we had a bunch of on identified objects flying in the air over military installations that we couldn't identify—any sane person would've taken this as a threat, seriously, decades ago. I can't even imagine in my prior line of work, someone coming over the radio saying, 'Dan, there's an unidentified flying object flying over the President of the United States' and me going 'It's a conspiracy theory!' I can't even imagine doing that. I would be fired." Bongino emphatically builds on the final minutes of the podcast that would immediately precede his first nationally syndicated daily program.
"Now you'll never hear this coming out of my mouth again, because the guy's a clown and a joker, but I have to actually hat tip Harry Reid, hack Democrat spygate PP hoaxer, but apparently Harry Reid former Senator from the great state of Nevada, apparently Harry Reid was warning about these UFO's a long time ago. There's a quote from the Wall Street Journal. I want you to listen to the first three words of this quote Harry Reid gave to the Washington Post, 'Everyone told me this would cost me nothing but trouble, said Reid, a Democrat who represented Nevada, home of the military's top-secret Area 51 test site. Harry Reid said, I wasn't afraid of it and I guess time has proven me right.' Ladies and gentlemen, it's our job going forward, no matter what the penalties, it is our job to tell the truth always, no matter what, no matter the penalties—always to tell the truth. And whenever someone says to you, the first three words of what they told Harry Reid when he brought up the UFO, whenever someone responds when you bring up something like that says 'everyone told me' be the tenth man, don't be the coffee boy." Bongino closes his podcast with a great nod to bravely speaking up and committing to telling the truth, no matter the consequences.
Starting his program on May 24, 2021 he addressed the comparisons and media reports that have been alluded to 'replacing' Rush Limbaugh by way of assuming Rush's famed time slot.
Bongino chose to address these headlines, head on, doing so with the utmost respect for Limbaugh.
"I want to say to the Patriots out there, who've spent their time being educated, informed and entertained by the greatest talk radio host there ever will be, for the last 30 years—I can't replace him. I may sit in his time slot and it's the greatest honor of my life to do this. My first love has always been radio, but I can't replace him. If you're expecting that, you'll be sorely disappointed, but I can tell you what you can expect, that I will honor this Titan of our industry's legacy, using the tools he taught me and many of you." Bongino shared with his audience on the program reminding his audience that he intends to honor the principles and commitment that Rush has instilled in his audience and strives to honor his legacy as his nationally syndicated program officially launches.
The first interview, could not have been a more high profile and appropriate guest for the first episode of The Dan Bongino Show, with President Donald Trump, made for phenomenal radio. Bongino has no trouble asking the question that so many have speculated about. Bongino confidently and unapologetically concluded this interview directly asking the big question, "And finally, I'd be remiss, the audience is dying to hear it and I know you've been asked a thousand times, forgive me but I have to ask where are we with 2024? We need ya man, we need ya, big time. Are you thinking about it? Are you leaning one way? We'd love to hear it."
"Well, I'll tell you what. We are going to make you very happy and we're going to do what's right and we've done a great job for the country. We've built our military and had the greatest economy ever, twice. Then, the world collapsed, the whole world collapsed with it and then we rebuilt it again when the stock market was higher than it was even the first time, but we're going to do the right thing." President Trump replied to Bongino, echoing the words Bongino shared on his podcast the evening prior to his program's launch about 'doing the right thing' and 'being the tenth man.'
I have the utmost respect for his transparency and honesty. I cannot wait to see what the future brings for the incredible talent and knowledge that Bongino has to share as gathered from the wealth of knowledge serving his country as a Secret Service Official to President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama and echo Sean Salisbury's sentiment as his national show launches this week, wishing him nothing but the best.
